Brewer vs Nokomis On 92.9 The Ticket

The Brewer Witches are riding a mini two game winning streak. The Nokomis Warriors are coming off a close, six point loss to top ranked Medomak Valley. That's the backdrop for tonight's Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket high school hoops broadcast tonight.

The host Witches are 2-1 and sitting in 8th place in Class A North. Ben Goodwin is back as coach. He coached Brewer for four years and returned to the bench this year after Clayton Blood retired. Through the first three game, the Witches are scoring about 57 points a game and giving up about 53 per game.

The Nokomis Warriors are off to a great start at 3-1. They own wins over Mt. Blue, Lawrence and MCI. That loss to #1 Medomak Valley came Tuesday night, 64-58. Ryan Martin is in his second year as head coach in Newport. He has a relatively young team with juniors and sophomores playing a lot of minutes.

Tonight's game will be the last one for both teams heading into the Christmas break.
