A big win for the Hampden girls soccer team Wednesday night, a 2-1 victory at Bangor High School.

Coach Paul Wellman says none of the players on his team had beaten the Rams in recent years.

The game was tied 1-1 at the half with a Hampden goal from Helen Shearer and a Bangor goal from Celia De Diego.

The game winner in the second half for the Broncos on an Eliza Parker cross that was headed in by Elise Linn.

The win puts Hampden at 2-1-1. Bangor is now 2-2.

The teams meet again in the regular season finale on October 15th.

NOTE: The Bangor boys soccer team beat Hampden 3-1. The Rams are now 3-0-1 while the Broncos move to 2-2.
