The Hampden Broncos rolled to their fifth win of the season, beating up Brewer 71-39 Friday night. The win was #250 for 16th year coach Russ Bartlett.

His demand to his team to rebound and play better defense at the first quarter break may have been the turning point in this one. The Witches led 14-12 after eight minutes.

From that point forward, Hampden outscored Brewer 58-26.

The Broncos hit on 10 three-pointers - five of them from Ross Webb, four from Bryce Lausier and one from Kory Winch.

Lausier led in scoring with 27.

Dylan Huff and Trevor Pearson both had eight for Brewer.

The Broncos improve to 5-0. The Witches are now 1-4.

NOTE: In the first game of the doubleheader the Hampden girls beat Brewer 50-26. Bailey Donovan led the Broncos with 22 points.
