On Sunday the Boston Celtics were reminded that you have to play defense in the NBA even when you are taking on one of the worst teams in the league. The reminder came in the form of a 111-101 loss to Brooklyn.

If there is one team Boston should want to beat it is the Nets. Boston will get their first round pick in this years draft so the less they win the better the pick will be. On Sunday the Nets came out strong shooting the ball and opened a big lead that the Celtics could never make disappear.

Brook Lopez led the Nets with 23 points and 10 rebounds while Jarrett Jack shot 80% from the field and finished with 22 points.

Boston now stands at 7-6 and was led by Isaiah Thomas and Avery Bradley who each scored 27 points. The team will stay on the road for a game in Atlanta tomorrow.
