Jaylen Brown has picked up his first individual award in a Boston Celtics uniform.

Brown was selected as a second team All-Rookie selection in the NBA for his work during the 2016-17 with Boston.  He received 106 total votes, including 24 first team votes, while averaging 6.6 points per game with the Cs.

The first team consisted of Dario Saric and Joel Embiid of the 76ers, Macolm Brogdon of the Bucks, Buddy Hield of the Kings, and Willy Hernangomez of the Knicks.  Joining Brown on the second team were Jamal Murray, Marquese Chriss, Brandon Ingram, and Yogi Ferrell.

The Rookie of the Year will also be formally announced tonight, along with the remaining league awards.  Saric, Embiid, and Brogdon are finalists for the honor.

Brown was selected third overall by the Cs in the draft last year and started 20 games for Boston.
