Score round two of the NBA's battle of Mainers a win for Brett Brown. His Philadelphia 76'ers beat Steve Clifford's Charlotte Bobcats Wednesday night 95-92. Brown and Clifford are the two Mainers who are first time head coaches in the NBA after years of assistant coaching duties.

Thaddeus Young hit a three pointer with 3.2 seconds left to win the game.

Philly and Charlotte have now played twice and each team own a win.

Brown's 76'ers are 13-25...Clifford's Bobcats are 16-24.

Brown, son of longtime high school and college coach Bob brown, spent many years as an assistant with the San Antonio Spurs. Clifford played his college ball at UMaine Farmington and his first coaching job was boys coach at Woodland HS.

The two Mainers meet two more times, both games in April.
