The road has been kind to the Boston Bruins who have started their longest trip of the season by winning their first two games. The latest a 4-2 win over Minnesota.

Boston played without captain Patrice Bergeron who has been listed as day-to-day but Brad Marchand picked up the slack by scoring in his 6th straight game. David Krejci also helped out on the offense by getting a goal and an assist.

The Bruins took a 2-1 lead after the first two periods and put it out of reach when Loui Eriksson and Zdeno Chara scored third period goals.

The win was also a milestone for Boston coach Claude Julian as it was his 5ooth in the NHL.

Jonas Gustavsson got the win in goal by stopping 31 of the 33 shots he faced. Boston will be right back on the ice today when they play the Red Wings in Detroit. You can hear the game live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket with coverage starting at 3pm.
