Now he'll be in black and gold through 2021-22.Just days after extending goalie Tuukka Rask's contract, the team signed Bergeron Friday to the maximum allowable contract which totals 8 years and $52 million dollars. Bergeron will be 36 years old at the end of the contract which at that time means he would have spent half of his life with the Bruins organization. Next season he will make $5 million which represents the final year of his current deal. The extension will kick in for the 2014-15 season.

This year he scored 10 goals and 22 assists in the 42 game regular season. In their 22 game postseason he racked up 9 goals including the game winner of game 7, the miracle comeback against Toronto.
