It was a successful night for Boston teams as the Bruins, Celtics and Red Sox all posted wins.The Bruins opened up their playoff series with the Maple Leafs and beat Toronto 4-1. Wade Redden and David Krejci each had a goal and an assist while Tuukka Rask stopped 19 shots. Game 2 is Saturday at 7pm live on 92.9 The Ticket.

The Celtics avoided elimination for the second time in four days by beating the Knicks 92-86. Jeff Green had 18 points and Kevin Garnett added 16 points and 18 rebounds. Game 6 is Friday in Boston.

The Red Sox pounded out 15 hits including two home runs by Mike Napoli on their way to a 10-1 win over Toronto. Clay Buchholz pitched 2-hit ball over seven innings to get the win.
