After just missing the playoffs last season the Boston Bruins return to the Garden with changes to the lineup and expectations of improved results.

The Winnipeg Jets make their way to Boston for the season opener tonight as the Bruins play three games in five days to open the schedule.

Gone from the Boston roster are defenseman Dougie Hamilton and forward Milan Lucic. New to the team this year are players such as Jimmy Hayes, Matt Beleskey, Matt Irwin and Colin Miller. New General Manager Don Sweeney tried to add more speed to this years lineup in hopes of creating additional scoring opportunities.

Captain Zdeno Chara sustained an upper body injury in training camp and returned to practice this week. It will be a game time decision on his availability for tonight's game.

Tuukka Rask saw action in the final two preseason games and will be in goal for the Bruins while Ondrej Pavelec will start in net for the Jets.
