The Buffalo Sabres scored two goals in the third period and beat the Boston Bruins 4-2 on Thursday night.Former UMaine Black Bear Brian Flynn scored the first goal of the game, it was shorthanded and came with just a few minutes to play in the first period. The Bruins got all their scoring from Brad Marchand which both came in the second period, making it a 2-2 score at the second intermission. In the third period the Sabres took the lead on a Drew Stafford goal before Flynn, who was named the first star of the game set up the final goal from Tyler Myers.

Chad Johnson took the loss in net for the Bruins, just his second of the season. Boston and Buffalo play the second half of their home-and-home series Saturday at the Garden. Live coverage on 92.9 The Ticket starts at 6:30pm.
