Concerns about the Boston Bruins offense came into focus as the season got underway. Those concerns were a topic of discussion after the bruins were shutout by Washington 4-0 Saturday night.Alex Ovechkin got the Caps off to a fast start with two first period goals putting the Bruins in a hole they could never dig out of.

Boston took 7 penalties on the night allowing for two Washington powerplay goals. The Bruins have been outscored 7-3 through their first three games of the season.
