The Boston Bruins season came to an end in game 6 of the Stanley Cup Finals, suffering a 3-2 loss to the Blackhawks. After Boston took a 2-1 lead late in the 3rd period, Chicago countered with two of their own in the final 1:16 to win their second cup in the last four seasons.

After the game it was revealed that the Bruins Patrice Bergeron played with a broken rib, torn cartilage and a seperated shoulder.
