With the NHL trading deadline approaching the Boston Bruins made a last minute move to acquire additional offense by trading for Max Talbot.

General Manager Peter Chiarelli made a deal with Colorado that brings 31 year old forward Max Talbot and Paul Carey. Talbot is a player that has playoff experience and brings a veteran presence to the lineup. The Bruins gave up Jordan Caron and a 2016 sixth round draft pick to complete the deal.

In 63 games this season Talbot has five goals including a game winner and ten assists.

The deal for Talbot is the second made by the Bruins on the final day of trading. In the early morning hours they traded with Tampa Bay for forward Brett Conolly. The new players will have a couple days to get used to their new surroundings before the Bruins hit the ice against Calgary on Thursday. You can hear that game live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.
