The Boston Bruins win again and this time it took a sixth round shootout goal from David Backes to beat the Vegas Golden Knights. The Wednesday night win makes the B's 4-0 on this long west coast road trip. The Bruins are 9-0-3 in their last 12 games.

Brad Marchand and Jake DeBrusk scored goals in regulation. Meanwhile, goalie Jaroslav Halak made 31 saves through regulation and overtime.

The came the shootout. Both teams scored an early shootout goal but then the goalies stopped everything.

Until B's coach Bruce Cassidy called on verteran Backes to try to score a game winner.

Before the game, the Bruins made a trade with the Minnesota Wild, acquiring 26-year-old forward Charlie Coyle in exchange for Ryan Donato and a 5th round draft choice.

Coyle has 10 goals and 18 assists this year. He is a Massachusetts kid and played his college hockey at Boston University.
