Those Boston Bruins rookies came through in a big way Thursday night as the B's beat Nashville 4-3 in the season opener at Boston Garden.

Jack DeBrusk, Charlie McAvoy and Anders Bjork combined for five points in the victory. And, David Pastrnak, the youngster who signed the big multi-million dollar deal last month, also scored.

The youth movement was needed because both Patruce Bergeron and David Backes were out of the lineup on opening night.

Goalie Tuukka Rask made 26 saves.
