The Boston Bruins selected an 18-year-old right wing, David Pastrnak with their first round pick in the NHL Draft. He is from the Czech Republic and has played in Sweden for the past two years.

The NHL Central Scouting Service ranked Pastrnak at the 5th best European skater in the draft. The Bruins had the 25th pick in the first round.

He is 5-11, 180-pounds and a right hand shot.

The Bruins have four more draft picks when the draft resumes today.
