The game of chicken, let's-make-a-deal or whatever you want to call it is now over. The Bruins have signed Torey Krug and Reilly Smith to one year deals. Their holdouts end.

Both young players will earn $1.4 million this season.

Krug and Smith were holding out during training camp but under NHL rules they could only negotiate with the Bruins. The team said they could only sign them to one year deals because of salary cap issues.

Both players are 23-years-old. Krug led all NHL rookie defensemen with 14 goals. Smith scored 20 goals in his first season in Boston. He was part of the deal that sent Tyler Seguin to Dallas.

The Bruins play their season opener October 8th against Philadelphia.
