After two embarrassing losses on the road, the Boston Bruins returned to Boston Garden Saturday afternoon and beat the Carolina Hurricanes 2-1.

The Canes scored the first goal about seven minutes into the game.

The Bruins responded with two first period goals, one from Seth Griffith and the game winner from Patrice Bergeron.

Tuukka Rask made 33 saves in net.

The Bruins improve to 11-8. The Hurricanes are 5-8-3.
