No more Junior League hockey for Dougie Hamilton. The 19-year-old rookie defenseman for the Boston Bruins has more than passed the six game test of the NHL and GM Peter Chiarelli says Hamilton will not be sent back for more experience in the juniors.

Under the collective bargaining agreement, a young player like Hamilton could play six NHL games and then could be sent back to junior hockey - but once a team does that, he cannot be called up for the remainder of the NHL season.

Turns out it was an easy decision for the B's, their #1 draft pick from two years ago(#9 pick overall in the draft) has been impressive. Hamilton has four assists already and sees a lot of time on the powerplay.
