Carter Tolmasoff of Bucksport High School has won the High School Athlete of the Week with 27 percent of the total vote over Austin Keib of Bangor Christian, Jon Bell of Skowhegan High School, Kolleen Bouchard of Houlton High School, and Pedro Matos of MCI.

Tolmasoff moved from the wide receiver position to the backfield and had a huge game for the Golden Bucks in the team’s 49-6 semifinal win over Mattanawcook Academy this past Friday night.  He had 130 yards on the ground, including three rushing touchdowns in the contest.  He also caught six passes for 98 yards and scored a receiving TD too.  With the four scores he piled up in the win in the semifinal, Tolmasoff now has 12 total on the season.  Bucksport will face Foxcroft on tomorrow night in the Class D North final.

Tolmasoff won with the majority of almost 1,000 votes this week.
