The UMaine baseball team picked up a pair of wins over UMass Lowell by scores of 5-4 and 3-2, while Husson took a doubleheader from Colby-Sawyer 4-2 and 3-2.In the first game Shane Bussey, Heath Scott and Alex Calbick each had two hits and an rbi to lead the Bears to a 5-4 win, Tommy Lawrence allowed 10 hits but also struck out 9 to pick up his 9th win of the season.

In game two, Bussey added two more hits including the game winning rbi single in the top of the 9th inning to get the pull out the 3-2 victory and improve to 12-9 overall and 3-5 in America East.

The UMaine softball team split their double-header with UMBC winning the first game 8-0 and dropping the second game 7-6.

The Husson baseball team received solid pitching in their two wins over Colby-Sawyer with Brandon Reilly going the distance in the first game for his second win of the season as the Eagles win 4-2. Reilly was backed by Josh Gaudette who had a hit and drove in two runs.

In the second game, Pat McEwen struck out five in throwing his second complete game in as many starts.  Kyle Bishop and Brandon Gendreau each drove in a run to help the Eagles to a 3-2 win. Husson moves to 9-4 in the North Atlantic Conference.

In Softball, Husson swept Lyndon State with a 2-1 extra inning win in the first game and a 5-2 win in game two. The Eagles remain undefeated in conference play at 6-0 with a double-header against Johnson State scheduled for Sunday.
