Coming off their first conference loss of the season the Husson men's basketball team rebounded by stepping out of conference and beating Colby 92-89 in overtime.

Both teams are having good seasons on the court so it should be no surprise the game stayed tight from start to finish. After the Eagles took a three point lead late in the second half, Bangor native Patrick Stewart drained a 3-pointer with :21 seconds left to force overtime.

In the overtime Husson senior Trevon Butler scored 10 of the Eagles 12 points to help his team get the three point victory and improve to 12-4 on the season. Butler finished with a career high 33 points while Raheem Anderson added 22 and Zach Curran and Justin Martin each added 10 points.

The Husson women were not as fortunate as the men as they played a non conference game against Bowdoin College and took a 94-49 loss on the road.

The Eagles fell behind by 23 points by halftime and were held to just 9 points in the third quarter while shooting just 27% from the floor. Husson got 13 points form Kenzie Worcester in the loss and have their record go to 12-4.
