Butler’s Stevens Named Celtics Head Coach

  Brad Stevens was one of the hottest coaches in college basketball and turned down many job offers. On Wednesday the 36 year old was named the new head coach of the Celtics.Stevens who becomes the 17th head coach in franchise history led the Bulldogs to 2 national championship games in his 6 seasons. He becomes the youngest head coach in the NBA and will be introduced at a Friday press conference on Boston.

In a release sent out by the team, General Manager Danny Ainge said “Brad and I share a lot of the same values, Though he is young, I see Brad as a great leader who leads with impeccable character and a strong work ethic. His teams always play hard and execute on both ends of the court. Brad is a coach who has already enjoyed lots of success, and I look forward to working with him towards Banner 18."
