The MLB Trade Deadline of August 1st approaching quickly throughout baseball as contenders like the Boston Red Sox get ready to make that final push.

Craig Calcaterra of NBC Sports’ Hardball Talk joined Bryan Stackpole to talk about what the plan of action for Sox President Dave Dombrowski would be over the weekend.

The Sox recently acquired Drew Pomeranz and Brad Ziegler from the Padres and Diamondbacks respectively, but Calcaterra thinks that’s just the beginning. He also said that he’d be surprised if the Sox deal either Yoan Moncada or Andrew Benintendi.

Though Boston is riding a losing streak heading into a long West Coast trip, Calcaterra said he still believes that the Sox are the team to beat in the American League East.

He also talked about what big name starter will likely be on the move and if Ortiz should be a first ballot Hall of Famer.
