New York pro golfer Matthew Campbell is now a two-time winner of the Maine Open. His victory Wednesday afternoon came in a playoff hole.

Campbell fired a 7-under par 63 at Augusta Country Club, including a hole-in-one on the secondhole. His first ace in tournament play.

His two-day 11-under par (129) was great but Massachusetts pro Peter French tunred in the same number and so it was off to sudden death playoff.

That's when Campbell birdied the first playoff hole to get the win.

He won the Maine Open at ACC back in 2015.

Greater Bangor Open winner Michael Kartrude tied for third place with Chelso Barrett at 8-under par.
