Peterson Indicted, Won’t Play Vs Patriots

A grand jury in Texas has indicted Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson on charges of reckless or negligent injury to a child and a warrant has been issued for his arrest.

The shocking news comes as the Patriots prepare to play the Vikings in Minnesota Sunday afternoon.

Apparently the conduct in question involves Peterson using a tree branch, often times called a "switch" to spank his son.

Rusty Hardin is Peterson's attorney. Hardin is the lawyer who represented Roger Clemens in his perjury trial.

The Vikings moved quickly to de-activate Peterson for Sunday's game until more information is gathered.

Peterson has rushed for more than 10,000 yards in his eight year career.
