Red Sox great Carl Yastrzemski will be honored with a bronze statue outside Fenway Park during special ceremonies on September 22nd.

The statue will stand along side two others - one of Ted Williams tipping his cap and the other featuring Johnny Pesky, Bobby Doerr and Dom DiMaggio called "Teammates".

Yaz is one of Boston's hall of famers, a triple crown winner, 18-time allstar. His 1967 'Impossible Dream" team played St.Louis in the world series and many baseball historians say that team changed the Red Sox landscape forever in Boston.

The ceremony to unveil the new statue on the 22nd is scheduled for 11am and Yaz will throw out the first pitch before the game with Toronto.
