26-year-old Russell Currier from Stockholm, Maine has made the USA Olympic Team in the sport of biathlon - a combination of cross country skiing and rifle shooting. Currier is a graduate of Caribou High School and earn his way on to the U.S. team by being the highest scoring American at international competition over the weekend in Italy.

Currier's overall finish in those races were 23rd and 30th but good enough to make the USA team headed to Sochi next month.

Currier is one of the athletes to come through the Maine Winter Sports Center In Aroostook County.
