The final day of Eastern Maine baseball and softball Championships saw Caribou, Bangor Christian, Hermon and Limestone take home titles.The class B baseball game needed 10 innings as the Caribou Vikings earned their first ever baseball championship with a 4-3 win over Old Town. Vikings starter Matt Curry pitched the complete game striking out 5 and not walking a single batter. His rbi single in the bottom of the 10th won the game and sent Caribou into the state championship.

Trailing 3-0 in the bottom of the 6th the Vikings came up with 3 runs of their own to tie the game on an rbi single by Dylan Berkoski and an rbi double by Matt Manter. Both hits and all three runs came with two outs in the inning. Caribou (14-6) will play Greely for the state title Saturday.

In Class B softball, the Hermon Hawks got a 3-hit performance from Karli Theberge and beat the undefeated and number one seed Gardiner Tigers 6-1. Hermon is now 17-2 and will face Wells in the state championship.
