The Husson Eagles lost their first three conference games to Castleton State on NAC opening day and the Eagles have been fighting back ever since. Friday afternoon their push continues with a doubleheader against UMaine Farmington. Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket has added game one of that DH to its broadcast schedule.
Husson Eagles infielder Sami Schultz(Hermon HS) has been named North Atlantic Conference Player of the Week. In four games last week, Schultz hit .545 with a home run, two doubles, seven RBI and five runs scored.
The Husson University vs UMaine Farmington baseball doubleheader today will be played at the Winkin Complex on the Husson campus. Start time for first game is 2pm. The location shift from Farmington to Bangor because of field conditions.
The snow is gone from the Winkin Sports Complex at Husson University - at least in fair territory. That means the North Atlantic Conference baseball opening series between the Eagles and Castleton State is on for Saturday and Sunday.
The Husson softball team has returned from its spring trip to Florida with a 5-3 record and the Merrill sisters are a big reason why. Kayla and Lyndsey have been named NAC pitcher of the week and player of the week, respectively.
