USM pitcher Jake Dexter and UMaine 1B Hernen Sardinas have been named to the New England Collegiate Baseball League all star team.

Husson University student-athlete Ben Walls (Bar Harbor, ME) is one of seven finalists for the North Atlantic Conference Man of the Year Award. The award goes to a graduating student who has excelled in athletics, academics, service and leadership.

The Sanford Mainers team of the New England Collegiate Baseball League has added some Maine flavor to its roster. UMaine pitchers Justin Courtney and Jonah Normandeau along with USM pitcher/infielder Jake Dexter will play their summer ball in Sanford.

Four Division III baseball players from Maine, including Husson Eagles pitcher Ben Walls have been selected to the D3baseball.com All New England Region first team.

The New England Intercollegiate Baseball Association will induct its first Hall of Fame class in June and two of Maine's top names are part of the inaugural group - John Winkin and Jack Butterfield.

The Husson Eagles are out of the NAC Baseball Tournament after losing two close games in round two Sunday. A 10-inning loss to New England College and then a one run loss to Castleton.

NAC Tournament action in Bangor and in Vermont...Husson senior Ben Walls pitched a complete game as Husson baseball knocked off top seed Castleton 7-2 in the opening round game of the playoffs. The news is not so good for Husson softball...

It took two extra days to get all the conference regular season games in but the four team double elimination North Atlantic Conference Tourney is set and the Husson Eagles will be the #4 seed.

The Husson University softball team swept and Sunday doubleheader at New England College and earned the North Atlantic Conference #1 seed. That means the conference tourney will be played in Bangor.

The Castleton Spartans captured the #1 seed in next week's NAC Playoffs with a doubleheader sweep of the Husson Eagles Saturday afternoon, 6-1 and 2-1.
