Maine HS Sports Participants Grows To 52,000
For the 28th consecutive year the number of high schoolers participating in sports is up over the previous year. The National Federation of State High School Associations says nearly 8 million boys and girls take part in some sports activity.
HS Team Tennis Regionals Moved Indoor
The Maine Principals' Association has moved Tuesday's high school team tennis regional title matches indoors because of weather. Class A & B matches will be inside at Brunswick. Class C matches will be inside at Hampden.
CH Boys Win Class B Tennis Title
South Region high school tennis teams took five of the six state championships. The lone winner from the North Region - the Camden Hills boys in Class B.

Dow Athletic Administrator Of The Year
MDI High School athletic administrator Bunky Dow has been named the MIAAA - Robert J. Lahey Award winner of the Athletic Administrator of the Year in Maine. The award is named after the late Bob Lahey who was a longtime AD at Old Town High School and helped form what is now the MIAAA.
