Ellsworth 62 MDI 57

In one of the final games played in the 2014-15 Basketball Season, the Ellsworth Eagles defeated MDI 62-57 at Katsiaficas Gymnasium in Ellsworth. Both teams knew that the result was meaningless, in that the two teams would meet again on Wednesday, February 11th in a prelim game, but you couldn't tell that on the court or in the stands, as the players and fans were into the game, and the MDI-Ellsworth rivalry was alive and evident!

MDI jumped out to an early lead, but Ellsworth took the lead at the end of the 1st Quarter 11-9

MDI Girls Finish 18-0

The 2014-15 MDI Girl's Basketball Team became the first Girl's Basketball team in MDI's history, to finish the regular season 18-0, but in talking to the girls and Coach Barker, although pleased with going undefeated in the regular season, their mission is squarely on bringing the Gold Ball back to the Island!  MDI defeated John Bapst early Saturday morning 62-44 at the Cross Insurance Center

Old Town Beats Hermon, Finish 17-1 [SCORES]

On the last night of their regular season, the Old Town Coyotes got back at the only team to beat them this season. The 44-33 win means the Coyotes finish 17-1 in the Class B ranks.

The Ellsworth Girl's Basketball Team celebrated senior night with a resounding 42-13 victory over Sumner Memorial High School on Friday, February 6th at Katsiaficas Gymnasium. With the victory, Ellsworth finishes the regular season with a 11-7 record, and look to be hosting a prelim game on Tuesday, February 10th, depending upon the final Heal Point Standings which will be finalized Saturday night, February 7th
