It's the 49th year of the Kenduskeag Stream Canoe Race, the biggest river race in Maine. It's also the 30th year of Dan Pelletier's Gumby canoe. We'll talk with Dan about the race and how organizers are able to pull it off every year.
We return to the State House this weekend and hunting and fishing advocate George Smith helps us beat up LD 668, which would require the Maine Department of Inland Fish and Wildlife to create a marketing position.
On this week's Wild Maine, we go inside a quinzee with Bangor Daily News outdoors writer John Holyoke. Also, the Can Am 250 is going on next weekend. We're not going there. We're staying closer to home and heading to Exeter for the Maine Highland Sled Dog race.
