Both the Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics snatched victory from the jaws of defeat on Thanksgiving eve. The B's and C's really had no business winning either of their games.

First to the Bruins (above). The Detroit Red Wings dominated play all night. They outshot the B's 32-24 and had a 2-1 lead until Colin Miller scored the tying goal with just 1:44 left in regulation.

Then in the 3-on-3 overtime, Miller fired a combination shot/pass to rookie Frank Vatrano in front of the Detroit net and he deflected it in for the game winner. B's win 3-2.

The Bruins have won four in a row and now sit at 12-8-1.

Now to the Celtics vs Philadelphia 76ers game (below). An 84-80 win for the C's.

The winless 76ers led the Celtics most of the night. In fact, the Celts were down 11 points with about six minutes left.

But when Jae Crowder hit a three pointer with just seconds left, the Celtics had the lead. Isaiah Thomas finished it off hitting to free throws at the end.

Thomas finished with 30 points. The Celts are now 8-7.

The hapless 76ers are 0-16 and going back to last year Philly is 0-26.
