The Central Red Devils pulled away from the Winslow Black Raiders the fourth quarter on their way to a Class B North quarterfinal victory at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.

In a back-and-forth contest, the Central came away with a 49-41 win to advance in the Maine High School Basketball Tournament.

It wasn't easy for the No. 3 Red Devils (16-3), who trailed by as many as 10 points during the game with the Black Raiders controlling the pace for much of the first half.

Central was able to gain momentum in the second half with Winslow's junior center and leading scorer Jackson Moreneault on the bench with four fouls. Moreneault fouled out with 4:33 left in the fourth quarter, finishing with 12 points.

Central was led by senior forward Ethan Mailman, who finished with 19 points, the final two of which came on a dunk to end the game. Caleb Shaw finished with 16 points.

Winslow finishes the season at 15-5.

The No. 3 Central Red Devils will play No. 2 MDI Trojans  in the semifinal round on Wednesday, Feb. 22.
