Bruins Captain Zdeno Chara put the team on his back and carried them to a 3-2 post Thanksgiving day win over the New York Rangers.Chara assisted on Brad Marchand's first period goal to get the scoring started. However, when the period ended Boston found themselves down by a two nothing score. A scoreless second period was highlighted by Chara fighting Brian Boyle, even though Chara seemed to be the only one fighting. Patrice Bergeron scored the tying goal less than two minutes into the third period before Chara scored the game winner with nine minutes to play.

The Bruins defense was stout all game and only allowed the Rangers to get 19 shots on net with Tuukka Rask stopping 17 of them for his 14th win of the season.

Boston now leads the Atlantic division by three points over the Tampa Bay Lightning and will play the second part of the back-to-back games tonight against Columbus. Live coverage on 92.9 The Ticket starts at
