The Chargers will officially be moving to Los Angeles after owner Dean Spanos released a public statement on Thursday morning.

Spanos said that he respected the fans of San Diego, but was excited for the move to Los Angeles.  He cited that he and the team will be fighting for fans in the market and look forward to the move.

The team is reportedly leaving the city after attempts to get a publicly funded stadium in San Diego failed.  The Chargers are still determining where they will play in 2017, choosing between the Rose Bowl and the stadium that hosts the LA Galaxy.
