Boston Bruins head coach Claude Julien will be an assistant coach for the Canadian Olympic hockey team when the games begin next March in Russia.

Mike Babcock of the Detroit Red Wings will be the head coach for Team Canada. Ken Hitchcock and Lindy Ruff will also be assistant coaches. Canada won the gold medal in the 2010 Olympics.

The NHL will shut down for two-and-a-half weeks in February and players will scatter to play for various countries who have made it to the Sochi, Russia games.

Pittsburgh Penquins head coach Dan Bylsma will coach Team USA.
