Clifford, Carlisle Ready To Add Talent

Steve Clifford spends his first NBA draft as a head coach Thursday night. His Charlotte Bobcats have the #4 pick and should get a player that can help right away.

Clifford started his coaching career as Woodland HS boys coach after playing his college basketball at UMaine Farminton.

Rick Carlisle is head coach of the Dallas Mavs. The former UMaine Black Bear basketball player will see his team pick #13.

The other Maine connection in the NBA coaching ranks, Jim Boylen, the former captain of the UMaine basketball team, is an assistant coach with the Indiana Pacers. They have the #23 pick.

Remember the Celtics pick #16.

Sportsradio 92.9TheTicket will carry the NBA draft live starting at 7PM Thursday.
