Closings and Delays 2-16-17

Last night's storm didn't bring us the amount snow that was expected, but it's still making travel messy in some areas, so many schools and businesses have canceled or delayed opening.

It seems like a mild storm compared to Monday. But several organizations have decided to either delay their opening until the streets are plowed or close altogether. Here's our list so far, and don't forget to check our online site where folks can enter their own:

Schools:

• AOS 96 (Machias) - closed
• Augusta Schools - 2 hour delay
• Baileyville School Department - closed
• Ellsworth School Dept - 2 hour delay
• MDI School District - 2 hour delay
• Princeton Schools - closed
• RSU 2 (Hallowell) - 2 hour delay
• RSU 12 (Somerville) - 2 hour delay
• RSU 25 (Bucksport) - 2 hour delay
• U-Maine's Hutchinson Center in Belfast - opening at 10 a.m.
• University of Maine Augusta - opening at 10 a.m.
• University of Maine Bangor - opening at 10 a.m.
• University of Maine Machias - opening at noon
• Washington County Community College - closed

General:

• Amicus Transportation - closed
• Down East Credit Union - all branches opening at 10 a.m.
