When Boston Bruins newcomer Lee Stempniak lit the lamp in overtime last night and gave the B's another win, coach Claude Julien did what he usually does - quickly exit the bench and head to the locker room.

But when you look at the numbers, it was not just another win.

It was #388 as coach of the B's and that moves him to the top of the all-time franchise win list.

Here are some of the numbers...

> Julien is the 27th head coach in the 92-year history of the Boston Bruins

> Now in his 9th year as B's coach, Julien's teams have made the playoffs in seven of the eight previous seasons. He already owns the club record for most playoff wins - 57.

> Julien coached the Bruins to a Stanley Cup title in 2011, a Presidents' Cup (best NHL team record) in 2014 and won the Coach of the Year Award in 2008-09.

> Most Wins: Julien 388, Art Ross 387, Milt Shcmidt 245, Dony Cherry 231 and Gerry Cheevers 204.

> Not bad for a guy who played in 14 NHL games as a player, getting one assist and 25 penalty minutes.

NOTE: Julien and the Bruins play Tampa Bay tonight for first place in the Atlantic Division. The B's have 81 points in the standings, the Lightning have 82. Live coverage on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket begins at 7pm.
