Cole Becomes All-Time Sack Leader
The UMaine football stayed unbeaten in conference play beating Stony Brook 19-14 thanks to a late 4th quarter touchdown.Quaterback Marcus Wasilewski threw a 24 yard touchdown pass to John Ebeling with 5:27 to play for the winning score. Ebeling finished the day with 6 catches for 106 yards. Running back Rickey Stevens added 74 yards on the ground and a touchdown.
The Bears are now 5-0 in the CAA and 8-1 overall. Next week they go on the road to Albany to face the Great Danes.
Defensive tackle Michael Cole had 2 sacks on the day making him the UMaine all-time sack leader with 28 for his career, breaking the previous mark of 27 set by Mike Denino in 1989.
