College Hockey: Quinnipiac 2 Maine 1

The Quinnipiac Bobcats scored a goal with 1:07 remaining in the game to take down the Maine Black Bears 2-1. The loss leaves Maine still looking for its first road win despite a 10-7-2 record.

Quinnipiac, the #8 ranked team in the country, scored the game's first goal in the second period. Maine's Devin Shore tied the game 1-1, scoring his ninth goal of the season.

That was all the scoring until senior Jordan Samuels-Thomas scored with a little over a minute left in the game.

Black Bear goalie Martin Ouellette stopped 26 shots, Quinnipiac goalie Michael Garteig made 29 stops.

The nationally ranked Bobcats win their 15th game ( 15-3-4) while Maine drops to 10-7-2.

The next game the Black Bears play will be at Fenway Park, next Saturday, against BU.
