The UMaine softball earned a Saturday doubleheader sweep of UMBC and moved into the top spot in the America East Conference.

UMaine Softball:  Annie Kennedy picked up the win in both games, 3-0 and 5-3. She pitched six innings of shutout ball in game one and pitched the final 2.1 innings of game two. Kennedy is now 8-4.

The Black Bears get back to .500 for the season at 16-16 but most importantly are now 7-2 in AE play with one more game vs UMBC on Sunday.

Husson Softball:  The Eagles played their first North Atlantic Conference games of the spring and split with New England College, dropping the first game 9-7 and coming back to run-rule the Pilgrims in the nightcap 8-0.

The Eagles are 1-1 NAC and 11-10 overall.

UMaine Baseball:  The Bears finished a non-conference roadtrip in New Jersey 1-2. A Saturday 7-3 loss to Monmouth meant a split of two games. The Black Bears lost to Sacred Heart on Friday.

The Bears are now 10-23 overall and will put their 5-4 America East record on the line next weekend at UMass Lowell.

Husson Baseball:  The Eagles split a twinbill at Colby-Sawyer on Saturday, losing 2-1 and winning 2-1. The Chargers scored two unearned runs in the bottom of the 7th inning to win the first one. Husson's Cody Collins went the distance in the second game to earn the split.

The Eagles are now 7-5 in the NAC, 11-13 overall.
