As training camp turns to game week preparation, UMaine football coach Jack Cosgrove is not yet ready to name his starting quarterback. Sophomore Dan Collins and freshman Drew Belcher continue to compete to be the guy replacing Marcus Wasilewski.

Collins is 6-foot-3 and from New Jersey. He played in parts of two games last season, completing 4 of 6 passes for 35 yards.

Belcher is 6-foot-3 true freshman from Massachusetts. He is the winningest QB at Reading HS, going 29-6.

The Black Bears open their season Saturday evening at 6pm with a home game against Norfolk State. After the the opener at home, it's three consecutive road games for the Bears.
