The Bangor Comrades eliminated Trenton 11-1 Saturday night which earned them a spot in the Zone 1 championship and next weeks state tournament.Peter Kemble pitched the complete game 4-hitter as the game ended in the bottom of the 8th inning as the 10-run mercy rule came into affect. His performance was backed by Justin Courtney who collected 4 hits and 3 rbi.

The Comrades will now play Brewer for the zone championship and have to beat the undefeated Falcons twice. Because of impending weather the first game of the day has moved to 10 am. Both teams are in the state tournament with the winner playing the first game at 10am on Wednesday.
