Comrades,Post 51 Play For Zone Title At 4pm

The Post 51 central Maine team did what it needed to do Saturday to stay alive in the American Legion Zone 1 tournament - win two games.

First, it was an 8-5 win over the Brewer Falcons to guarantee a spot in next week's state tournament.

Then, Post 51 needed to beat the Coffee News(Bangor) team to force an if necessary game for the zone championship. Mission accomplished with a 5-1 win the Comrades.

NOTE:  The Zone 1 title game today between Bangor and Post 51 has been moved up to 4pm at the Winkin Complex at Husson University in Bangor.
