After a stellar senior season that culminated with a state championship, Cony High School quarterback Ben Lucas has won the Fitzpatrick Trophy.The trophy is presented to the top high school senior in the state. Lucas threw for 3,482 yards and 42 touchdowns this season. In the state title game he totaled 307 yards in the air along with three touchdown throws. The final drive of his high school career went for 99 yards, ending with the game winning touchdown pass with one minute to play.

The other two finalists were Justin Zukowski of Portland and Nick DeLorenzo of Kennebunk High School.

Lucas who is the first player from Cony high to win the Fitzpatrick Trophy has yet to make a college decision.
